At Flight Cancelled Kennels, we hold the belief that the dam significantly influences both the temperament and abilities of Labrador Retriever puppies, often more so than the stud. Consequently, we prioritize the careful selection of the females incorporated into our breeding program. Each of our Labradors is actively engaged in hunting waterfowl, resides in a family environment, travels to various events, and is treated as a cherished family member. They are raised in a home setting, surrounded by children and other animals, ensuring well-rounded socialization.

Flight Cancelled’s Reigning Wren

Wren was hand-selected for our hunting program and represents everything we value in a working Labrador. She comes from an outstanding pedigree and was acquired from Southern Oak Kennels in Mississippi. As a daughter of Maggie 2.0 and Cedar, Wren carries the genetics, instinct, and drive that define a truly elite hunting dog.

Wren holds a uniquely special place in our program as the very first female hunting dog Mitch ever hunted behind. From the very beginning, he was struck by how quickly she earned his respect and admiration. Her precision in the field, unwavering drive, and natural desire to excel set her apart. Wren hunts with confidence and purpose, always striving to be the best and proving herself time and time again.

Beyond her performance in the field, Wren is the definition of steady and faithful. She is dependable, consistent, and deeply loyal—qualities that have forged a lasting bond and secured a permanent place in Mitch’s heart.

In the home, Wren transitions seamlessly from hard-working athlete to calm companion. She is quiet, well-mannered, and content to unwind after long days in the field, often found resting peacefully in front of the fire after cold winter hunts.

Within the pack, Wren is a natural leader, respected by the others for her confidence and presence. Her exceptional athleticism, sound structure, and impeccable manners make her an invaluable part of our program, and we are incredibly grateful for the impact she continues to have both in the field and at home.
